Welcome to the Western Slope of Colorado
A huge thank you to our supporters,
steering committee,
and attendees for making this the biggest and best Rural
Philanthropy Days ever!
We welcomed more
than 400 nonprofit leaders representing more than 50
grant seekers and more than 30 grant makers to Mt.
Crested Butte in June 2009.
Rural Philanthropy Days (RPD), a statewide program of
the Community Resource Center, offers a powerful
opportunity for Colorado's funding community to interact
with the nonprofit organizations in rural Colorado. The
conference allows nonprofit representatives and funders
to learn from one another and collaborate on needed
projects through an interactive conference agenda. It is
a place where funders and nonprofits begin relationships
that lead to successful grant proposals and more
resources for rural Colorado.
Community representatives from the seven Western Slope
counties – Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Mesa, Montrose,
Ouray, and San Miguel - planned an event that is
unique and fun, as well as sure to build relationships
that last well beyond Rural Philanthropy Days. A special
thank you to all of our sponsors,
without whom this event could not have taken place.
